In May, our organization successfully completed its four-day triannual accreditation survey. While accreditation surveys are often viewed as stressful events where surveyors arrive looking for deficiencies, our experience continues to be quite different. The accreditation process has evolved into a collaborative partnership focused on helping organizations achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient care.

This year, surveyors further demonstrated that collaborative approach by documenting compliments and examples of excellence directly into the leadership platform. We were proud to receive numerous positive comments that reflect the dedication and professionalism of our entire team.

Surveyors repeatedly recognized outstanding infection prevention practices, noting that hand hygiene appeared “like second nature” to staff. Nurses were praised for excellent aseptic technique, infection control practices, clinical assessments, and patient rapport. One surveyor described a nurse’s care and technique as “terrific,” while another commented on the exceptional use of available resources during patient care.

Our operational excellence was also recognized. Surveyors noted clean and organized clinical sites, well-maintained vehicles, excellent trunk setups, and strong record-keeping practices. Staff members across the organization received praise for their knowledge, professionalism, and ability to handle complex situations. Particular recognition was given to Patient Service Representatives for their expertise and use of tools that enhance efficiency and improve the patient experience.

Perhaps most importantly, surveyors commented that even our newest leaders demonstrated knowledge and competence far beyond expectations.

These compliments are a testament to the hard work, commitment, and culture of excellence that define our organization. We thank every team member for their role in delivering exceptional care and maintaining the high standards that earned this recognition.
