A Commitment to Service and Quality
The primary goal of home infusion therapy is to allow patients to complete
treatment safely and effectively in the comfort of their home. To meet this goal, our team uses experience, planning and proven techniques to avoid problems and to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction. A rigorous quality control and performance improvement program assures the standard of care remains consistently high. Staff are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day to help solve problems or answer questions.

Specialty Infusion Pharmacy and Nursing Services
Locally owned and operated, New England Life Care provides Specialty Infusion Pharmacy and Nursing services to patients throughout Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. We focus our services on intravenous and injectable drugs that:
- are used on a limited or recurring basis to treat acute or chronic diseases,
- are complex and clinically challenging,
- require specialized preparation or handling, and
- may have strict clinical monitoring requirements.

Our goal is to decrease the risk associated with administering complex infusion therapies at home by providing superior technical and clinical services.

Nursing Services
NELC nurses work with the ordering physician and our clinical pharmacists to develop a goal-oriented care plan that is re-evaluated at regular intervals. This plan addresses medical issues, physical limitations, family/care giver concerns, and expected daily activities.

Delivery and Supply Management
Our goal is to create a convenient and trouble free home care experience.
Program Highlights
Delivery Technicians
- Assure timely delivery and proper storage of medications, supplies, and equipment.
- Pick up equipment and any unused supplies at the completion of therapy
Patient Service Representatives
- Monitor and manage supply needs
- Coordinate travel schedules if the patient elects to travel while on service
- Monitor supply utilization to measure compliance and identify possible problems
Reimbursement Management
NELC reimbursement experts work on the patient’s behalf to determine
coverage limits and identify financial responsibilities.

Specialized Clinical Management Programs
( top )NELC Anti-Infective Program
NELC offers a physician-led Anti-Infective Team of clinical pharmacists, infusion nurses, and patient service representatives. This team will review each plan of treatment to assure medication selection, dosing schedule, and lab orders are appropriate. When indicated, NELC will recommend treatment alternatives designed to reduce risk, reduce costs, and/or improve overall patient outcomes. Based upon patient/caregiver ability, drug stability, dose frequency, and anticipated daily activities, NELC’s clinical team will select the most appropriate method for administering each patient’s medication. Drug preparation, equipment, and supply selection is personalized to meet individual needs and goals. Treatment is routinely monitored to ensure that care is progressing according to plan.
NELC Nutrition Support Program
NELC offers a multi-disciplinary nutrition support team consisting of certified nutrition support dietitians, certified nutrition support pharmacist, infusion nurses and patient service representatives to manage the clinical needs of patients receiving home enteral and parenteral nutrition. Our nutrition support team assists the ordering physician by monitoring progress on an ongoing basis and proactively recommending formula changes and/or adjustments to daily requirements to prevent complications and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
NELC’s Nutrition Support Team will:
- Assess current/ongoing nutritional status
- Assess calorie, protein, and fluid needs
- Monitor effectiveness/tolerance of therapy
- Recommend changes in feeding schedule or formula
- Assist in transitioning back to eating again
