NELC Anti-Infective Program

NELC offers a physician-led Anti-Infective Team of clinical pharmacists, infusion nurses, and patient service representatives.  This team will review each plan of treatment to assure medication selection, dosing schedule, and lab orders are appropriate.  When indicated, NELC will recommend treatment alternatives designed to reduce risk, reduce costs, and/or improve overall patient outcomes.   Based upon patient/caregiver ability, drug stability, dose frequency, and anticipated daily activities, NELC’s clinical team will select the most appropriate method for administering each patient’s medication.  Drug preparation, equipment, and supply selection is personalized to meet individual needs and goals.  Treatment is routinely monitored to ensure that care is progressing according to plan.
