Patient Accounts Reimbursement Specialist - South Portland, ME
The Patient Accounts Reimbursement Specialist for Medicaid/ Commercial is responsible for the billing and collection of service and product charges due from Medicaid and the billing (only) of Commercial Insurances. Assures that all patient charges in MIS are accurate & in compliance with Medicaid and/or other payer contracts; edits invoices (claims) as needed to insure accuracy. Ensures that all claims are processed within expected timeframes ensuring that required supporting clinical documentation is on file prior to processing. Evaluates and works to resolve denied/suspended claims; revises denied/suspended claims in accordance with payer processing requirements and resubmits revised claims with supporting documentation to payer within expected timeframe.

Insurance Verification Specialist - South Portland, ME
The person in this position is responsible for the verification of the patient’s medical insurance for all aspects of reimbursement of home infusion therapies provided by NELC or the establishment of an alternative method of payment for service.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing in the Concord branch, the Clinical Nurse Liaison provides clinical assessment of patients referred by the member hospitals for home infusion therapy to determine their capabilities to safely receive services at home with NELC. They are also responsible for relationship building with hospital staff for quality coordination of care between hospital and home.
