Our History

New England Life Care, Inc. (NELC) was founded in 1987.  The primary goal of its founders was  to ensure the long term existence of a home infusion therapy/specialty pharmacy provider that reflects its member hospitals’ commitment to clinical excellence, quality and ethics.  To better reflect the mission of its member hospitals and serve their respective communities, NELC changed its corporate structure in 1993 to a not-for-profit hospital services cooperative.  Since that time NELC’s membership has grown.  Our members include many of New England’s most prestigious teaching hospitals.
